Homemade laundry detergent: 1 Box Borax- 1 Box Super Washing Soda- 2 Bars Fels Naptha Soap- 1 Bar Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap(I chose lavendar) All soap grated, THEN CHOPPED, in a food processor. Combine soap and powders and voila! All ingredients were less then $15 including the pricey Dr. Bronner's. Not including the glass jar. I have extra soap from the same batch to refill the jar, and it only takes 1-2 TBSP per load. All natural, no sulfates!

Churning butter - The picture was taken in 1897. Love the little kitten trying to get anything that splashes up.

Julienne Soup - What gives this soup it’s name is the way all of the vegetables are sliced in it. They are all done up “Julienne Style” or in thin matchstick pieces. Back in Victoria’s time, this was all done by hand, but if you have a food processor, it will definitely help with the cutting. It will serve 6-8 people.
