David Chipperfield stairs remind me of the staircases often depicted in optical illusion paintings. I like how glass is use for the balustrades, so the stairs are the main focus in this space. The open ceiling naturally lights up the structure.
Hilton Garden Inn Venice Mestre San Giuliano RESERVED has bus service to front of hotel with buses every 20 min to Venice and trains. Hotel sells tickets at cost for city bus service. Clean and modern rooms. Hotel breakfast is lacking and not worth the 18 Euro, dinner and drinks at hotel expensive, so avoid their restaurant. Better alternative to trying to park in Venice, or move bags to a Venice hotel by water taxi.
