Vampire history

What about a blind vampire or one with no sense of taste, something like that? They wouldn't have experienced some things so even if they could remember that far back into history they have to experience of, say for example, the carnage of a battlefield or the taste of some medieval dish. I'm gonna write about this... so please don't steal it
