13.8 in battleship Jean Bart: incomplete in 1940, she fled to French North Africa where there were no facilities to finish her. In November 1942 under Vichy control she disputed the allied landings, USS Massachusetts putting paid to that with the 16 in damage seen here. Completed post war, she had a short operational career in the 1950s.
