Great idea: use a recipe book holder for holding textbooks open when you need to use one. Isn't useful for my course (photography) because it's all practical, but it's still a great idea!

Expository Text: This is a great chart to use when starting to introduce expository text. This is great helping students learn how to start adding information to their writing. This is a easy map that you can creat with your students or post to the wall after expository text has been introduced to the class.

Although this is a fashion magazine layout the same general principles can be applied to create a fashion textbook. The use of image is key to generate interest and illustrate the point the author is trying to make- they are evocative and really add a sense of meaning to the text
