Pumpkin seeds are full of valuable nutrients, dietary fiber, and contain antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation and protect our cells from free radicals. They are also a great source of magnesium, zinc and fatty acids which help to keep our hearts healthy. I did turmeric and black pepper (black pepper enhances bioavailability of curcumin in turmeric), it's usually my go to. # Turmeric & Black Pepper Roasted Pumpkin Seeds (pepitas) @Bucknakedpaleo # Ingredients 1/2 tsp ground turmeric 1/2 tsp garlic salt (or regular sea salt - I like @Redmonds) 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 tsp avocado/ or olive oil 1 Cup Raw Hulled Pumpkin Seeds # Method: PREHEAT oven to 375 Degrees F. COMBINE turmeric, salt, and black pepper in small dish PLACE pumpkin seeds on a large baking sheet (line with parchment paper if you wish). DRIZZLE with avocado oil/olive oil and sprinkle with dry mixture. Mix it all up so everything is coated evenly. If you are using turmeric - use a spatula! That stuff stains fingers! BAKE for 5-7 mins until just staring to brown. keep an eye on them, stirring frequently. ALLOW to cool, and store in container to be used on salads throughout the week! #Whole30 #Whole30recipes
