The weaving techniques and motifs used by the different groups or ethnicities are appreciated today as a brand for cultural identity. Venezuela -being in the tropical zone- is endowed with an amazing variety of plants, palm trees, bamboo, straws and lianas, used by the indigenous communities to make trays, fans, sifters, strainers, wringers, mats, crowns, weapons, fishing gear, cages, musical instruments, ornaments and as ritual objects.

Pineapple water.  This is a great way to drink your water with natural flavors and a tropical taste. All you have to do is buy a pineapple and use it's skin, put it in a pan, fill it with water, add some cinnamon and cloves, let it cook for about 30 mins, once is done you pour the contents through a sifter and ta daaaa! You have a delish water that is great in taste and good for you... You can also add some splenda if you like and squeeze some lime over it to make it more refreshing…
