I like an undulating flower bed that is less formal. I grew all the pink impatiens from seed in my basement under lights. My kids laughingly call it my grow op. Saves a lot of money and the plants are further ahead as I could not plant this year until late May. This picture is taken in early August and by late September the beds have been cleaned and are ready for winter and snow.

Use varying heights of planting to bring the eye upward. Nice mix of color, heights, and decor.

Love the solar lights inside the plants/trees! This would look so cool in the backyard behind the seating surrounding the firepit!

I sprint a mile in the woods, going south. I clutch my materials in my arms. My boots slip and slide on the frozen terrain. I reach a clearing and take in my surroundings. There is a gap in the trees with a width of 20 ft. and a length of 50. Plenty of space. I deposit the materials on the ground and start working. My alliance, Annika, will meet my a mile south of the Cornucopia.
