10 July - In today's gospel reading, (Mt 9:18-26) we read of two different miracles performed by Jesus. We read of the cure of the woman with a hemorrhage and we read of the raising back to life of the official's daughter..."We believe an honorable man on his word. Why should we put less faith in that of Our Lord? When a friend desires to prove to his friend that he loves him, he tells him so... Our Lord wants to show His love for us..." - St. Peter Julian Eymard ~ AnaStpaul

Doubt no longer, but believe! In today's Gospel reading, we encounter the first apostle who doubted Jesus' resurrection. I think in the Singapore context, many of us subconsciously think of Thomas as a bad example.. someone we must not follow. Yet, though he doubted, he was given the grace not only to see Jesus face to face, but to put his finger in Jesus' side. The very wound from which we hear that blood and water flowed. The mercy of God was so great that though Thomas doubted, he would…

Lord, I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

Yes, ma’am. That’s what you say, preferably with a smile. If you can’t manage a smile, at least don’t roll your eyes or sigh heavily, no matter what you’re asked to do. Set the table? Yes, ma’am. Fold these towels? Yes, ma’am. Snap these beans and pull those weeds? Yes, ma’am. Yes, ma’am in my family meant respect. // daily devotionals for women catholic

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us has made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! {Ephesians 2:4-5}

This means so much to me. We are all so undeserving of the Lord. He completely completes me and gives me all the joy and happiness that I have in my life. Giving Him me heart and life was the best thing that I've ever done. He blesses me everyday.

Things Jesus Never Said - based on today's Gospel Reading (Matthew 25:31-46 - Mon. Wk. I Lent)

Nope, Jesus calls us to love them too. How have we strayed so far to think that just because something is uncomfortable and a bit scary that we suddenly are off the hook? We love because Jesus first loved us.
