Macbeth’s downfall is his increasingly brutal murders (of Duncan’s servants, Banquo, Lady Macduff and her son). Macbeth’s second meeting with the witches foresee's Macbeth’s downfall when he has his final confrontation with Macduff and the opposing armies.

Mlle ghoul's fairy tales from the shadows....reminds me of a norse myth about the fates and how they spun your life with strings. When you were to die, they would cut the string. An interesting set of tales follows the fates, and they occour in Greek myths as well.
Macbeth: Simple project/discussion--Who or what is controlling who? Macbeth controlled by Lady Macbeth, Lady Macbeth controlled by? etc. Do a chart with red string connecting the controllers (what is behind our actions?) Pride? Selfishness?
