At Reykjavík School Barnamúsíkskóli, Bjork studied classical piano and flute. Bjork's version of Tina Charles' "I Love to Love" was sent to RUV radio station by her teachers. Bjork would come into prominence internationally after her 1987 track "Birthday" with band The Sugarcubes gained critical acclaim.
