This Raleigh Chopper ad from 1970 caused an era of Parents to buy them for their chopper mad children to race around the cul-de-sacs and avenues of Great Britain and beyond. With several colours to choose from there was a chopper to suit every childs taste. So retro, so cool and if you had one and your friends didn't. rest assured, they envied you. A real classic.
The work of Benny Thomas, who runs Boneshaker Choppers in the Midlands. The motor is from a 2003 Harley Sportster, upgraded to 1200 cc with Wiseco pistons. It sits in a Flyrite Choppers Smokin’ Gun rigid frame, powdercoated satin black like the tank, and hooked up to stock Sportster forks that have been lowered two inches.
