i think the skull should be shaded and add more and more color- maybe a dark blue - as you get to the octo-arms!

robotata.net Pawel - Fishing with octopus, 2009 The original drawings were made with pencil. The next step was to put the black color on the sketch, with the use of ink and the brush. Colors and textures are made in Photoshop. It was important for me to get the archive retro look because it adds to the melancholic mood of the illustration.

Blanket Octopus - found in the open seas of the Mediterranean and the N and S Atlantic Ocean. The "blanket" is a defense mechanism, as they do not have ink to ward off predators. It will unfurl its blanket, making it look significantly larger and intimidating. It is immune to the poison of the Portuguese man o' war, known for its deadly venom. Taking advantage of their immunity, Blanket Octopuses will rip off the Man o' war's tentacles and use them to defend themselves from attacks.

Blanket Octopus: is 2 meters long with an enormous cape behind it. The octopus is the only animal immune to the stings of the man of war jellyfish. It can rip off the stingers of the jellyfish and use it as a whip.
