Great Britain's Olympic swimmers won two superb silver medals through Siobhan-Marie O'Connor in the 200m individual medley and the men's team in the 4x200m freestyle relay. GB's men's relay team of Stephen Milne, Duncan Scott, Dan Wallace and James Guy were second to a dominant USA.
Team Great Britain have recorded their first Rio Olympic Gold, thanks to Adam Peaty who did the needful in the 100m breastsroke final to become the first British man since 1988 to win an Olympic swimming gold with a 57.13s world record with him.
Ellie Robinson won another gold medal for Britain and set a Paralympic record in the S6 50m butterfly final. The fifteen-year-old school girl from Northampton was inspired to compete by watching her now-Great Britain team-mate Ellie Simmonds, among others, at London 2012.
