Salvador Dalí takes quite an abstract stance here with his 'Madonna and Child'. Created in 1958, the mixed media gouache measuring a handsome 14,3 x 11,5 cm, shows great style awareness of Jackson Pollock's action painting and Tachisme, its French equivalent. Galerie des Modernes will present this interesting work on paper during the next Salon du dessin, taking place at Palais Brongniart, from 22 - 27 March 2017.
