Does anyone remember these competitions in the Sunday newspaper especially this one Spot the Ball. My dad filled this one in every week and I was responsible for getting the postal order and stamp and posting it in the GPO.

Fish and chips every Friday and, for a treat, to the cafe 'up street' for dinner with H and A.

The fish and chip shop. The owner of our local chippie had a bit of a thing for my mum - he'd be extra friendly and give her extra large portions of chips, and his wife would stand in the doorway behind him looking disapproving.
