Blaise Hamlet, Bristol, England. Owned and looked after by The National Trust. Nine beautiful John Nash designed cottages surrounding a "village green" with the original water pump. Built in 1812 to house the servants of the owners of the nearby Blaise Castle mansion house (now owned by Bristol City Council), which was mentioned in Jane Austen's , Northanger Abbey, as “the finest place in England”. Blaise Castle House was built for John Harford in 1798.
