👍Democratic Response by Former Governor of Kentucky Steve Beshear criticized the President for his many public disagreements with agencies and the free press.
Democrats have tapped former Gov. Steve Beshear to deliver the party's response to President Donald Trump's address to a joint session of Congress Tuesday night, highlighting the Kentucky Democrat's efforts to expand health care coverage under the law Republicans are determined to repeal and replace.
Thanks to Governor Beshear's leadership, Kentucky not only expanded Medicaid AND opened its own health care exchange—it’s also the top state in ACA enrollment. In a little over a month, 32,500 people have gotten new health care coverage, and Medicaid expansion will reduce the number of uninsured people by 57.1%! That's progress—so for all of the Kentuckians who will benefit, we're giving him a round of well-deserved applause.
Democrats did President Donald Trump a favor by picking former Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear to give the Party's rebuttal to the president's joint sessions speech.
