Twinkle, twinkle little star. Dip star shape cookie cutters (the wider side works great), dipped in glue and pressed onto paper. Then let the children sprinkle glitter onto the glue. We are learning nursery rhymes.
Made of over 100 pieces of fabric. I machine stitched them to the cotton canvas with free-motion embroidery. The star shapes are meant to be a pattern of floating seeds. The silhouettes are mainly machine stitched, but the tips are hand embroidered with tiny French knots with a single thread of floss. There are small gold stitches scattered around the background, that don't really show here. The colours may seem a bit unreal, but I have seen these colours in nature.
