St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen..

St. Michaels Mount - this rocky island 400 yards off the coast of Cornwall has a continental counterpart: Mont-Saint Michel in Normandy. Originally a monastery, St. Michael's Mount became the ancestral seat of a baron after the dissolution of the catholic church. With its seabound location (reachable by foot at low tide or by boat), this castle appears to float on the horizon.
