(11th Feb 2013) GFC progressed to the FA Vase quarter-finals with a fantastic 3-1 victory at Spalding United on Saturday.    After falling behind to a superb Gary King strike early on, the Green Lions finally got into their stride and were level at the half-time break through star striker Allen’s equaliser.  Allen set up Loaring to give GFC a 2-1 lead and when Allen added his second to make it three: one of the greatest achievements in the history of island football.
