But everyone thinks religion, politics (pretty much another religion) and wealth are needed. Lol. Getting rid of all of these things means accepting personal accountability and responsibility and nobody wants to put in that kind of effort for themselves or the rest of humanity.
If you ever need to rebut a study whose conclusion you don't like, just follow this simple flowchart. The phrase, "people tend to read what they want to read in research" is a scary but true one. When doing your literature review, be sure to read research that counters your own view and position! Then use this chart to help you talk about it.
