This is a great resource to remember Restorative Justice Approach vs. the Traditional Approach when dealing with a situation. I will use this in my classroom for future conflicts that may arise. This will not only help me deal with the situation, but also help the students and others involved so they too can have closure and their voices heard.
Erik Erikson was an ego psychologist that patterned his theories after Freud. Erikson strongly felt that culture and society have an effect on the ego and that a struggle or conflict can begin. Erik Erikson designed a model of development that has 5 stages of psychosocial development that extend through childhood.
There are 3 styles of anger that I go over in my Taming Your Anger online course. The stuffer avoids feelings but they leak out in passive aggressive comments, but the exploder rages and causes fear. Both need help.
