You can spice this area up by turning it into scenic pathway. If the side yard is wide enough, you can also add some flower beds on either side of the path to accentuate the walkway.

Use a row of white bark birch trees along a fence line to give additional privacy .............................but how big do they get? in other words would they stay narrow? if I even would be allowed to grow these in our small outdoor space at our condo? i like the idea of more privacy
