If you ever hear the acronym "PSJA" in high school sports or location, it is for the Rio Grande Valley tri-city towns of Pharr, San Juan, Alamo. It is considered the only independent school district that has three cities merged in Texas. PSJA has since grew adding additional high schools within its own towns yet keeping the acronym as PSJA. The original high school is in San Juan, North & Southwest in Pharr, and Memorial in Alamo.
Navajo Coyote Tales: From Legend to Film During the early 1970s, Kent Tibbetts, the first director of the San Juan School District Media Center, and Don Mose, Jr., who was a cultural consultant, had the opportunity to work with a firm named Computer Image Corporation.
