An amethyst and diamond insect brooch, circa 1900 Set with an oval mixed-cut amethyst abdomen to a rose-cut and single-cut diamond thorax and head, with ruby eye highlights, terminating in pincered single-cut antennae and a cultured mabé pearl, later cultured pearl replacement, pin with rubbed Russian assay mark, diamonds approx. 1.30ct. total, length 5.2cm.

A Fabergé jeweled gold and hardstone hat pin, workmaster August Hollming, St Petersburg, 1904-1908. The finial formed as an acorn with a fine moonstone cabochon and a channeled silver cap set with rose diamonds, the stem of yellow gold carved realistically and finely hatched to imitate a wood surface, the top set with a single diamond.
