Good to keep for when you may need it - clean up pet pee stains, vinegar, peroxide and blue dawn. With Rug Doctor - lots of vinegar with water, 1 cup peroxide, 1 tsp blue dawn. Throw in gain for scent boost. After mostly dry, sprinkle baking soda, let dry and vacuum a few times. Good to know!

Use Mr. Clean in a Rug Doctor carpet shampooer. Cheaper than the brand name solution. $3 v/s $20. My carpets are off white. The color in this solution will NOT stain your carpet. See the treated side of the cola stain? I used Mr. Clean 'Gain' scented. My whole house smells like Gain dryers sheets! Use 1/2 cup of Mr. Clean per 2 gallons of hot water.

This is the third year we've used white vinegar instead of the usual shampoos in our rented Rug Doctor. We love the results - cleans /far/ better, is cheaper, stays clean longer, and no indoor air pollution.
