Elongated stems on letters makes them appear confident and powerful whilst the smooth finish makes them friendly. The roman style typeface would suggest the ancient descent of Neptune whilst the serifs could work imply the sharp edges of the trident.

Even though I am not a big fan of Times New Roman. I really like the used the typography placement in this piece. It is a very clean layout, but it is also visually interesting.
