General ROBERT E. LEE death mask. I don't mean for this to sound horrid or anything but I was thinking, & wondering why people are not putting death masks on tomb stones. I like to see pictures of the person, and read a little bit about them.
Robert E. Lee (Confederate). By being the best general, he made it last way longer than it really should have done by winning a series of unlikely victories. In return, the Union turned his front garden in Arlington into a huge war cemetery.
When asked the question, "What race of people do you believe make the best soldiers?" His reply: "The Scots who came to this country by way of Ireland. Because they have all the dash of the Irish in taking up a position and all the stubborness of the Scots in holding it." (Gen. Robert E. Lee)
