There are a number of potential complications with Byetta thyroid cancer that can occur, even after a patient’s thyroid gland is removed. Byetta thyroid cancer has a high recurrence rate when microscopic cancer cells spread beyond the thyroid before it is extracted from the patient. Byetta thyroid cancer complications can occur years – even decades – after the disease has been diagnosed and treated.
Rhabdomyolysis causing acute kidney injury due to an increase in muscle tissue breakdown, increased CK-MB blocking filtration of kidneys and leading to necrosis/ischemia due to poor perfusion. Pt will have oliguria, dark urine, muscle pain
