How I Created This Viral Puddle Reflection Picture in Photoshop

My name is Michael Pistono, and I’m a 28-year-old photo enthusiast living in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was recently playing around with a reflection photo when I had the idea of creating another one out of a puddle — one that featured both tall buildings and an airplane. The photo I ended up creating in Photoshop (shown above) went viral online. Here’s a look at how it was made. #photography

‘Shopped around (30 photos)

A destination beyond one's view of life, that's what this picture is saying to me. The editing to create to what might seem as an illusion, shows a whole different perspective to how we see people as of now. The manipulation of the city within her eye was done really well which makes the photo even more realistic than possible!

Photographing Bubbles

Tree Foregrounded in a Soap Bubble Trees reflected in a soap bubble. I'm amazed at how the tree at the top seems so foregrounded. I've been experimenting with ISO and aperture today. I love the sharpness of the tree here and how you can actually see shadows on the trunk and branches.

I like the refraction used in the image with the glass. I really like the Black & white conversion because i think it adds depth to the image.
