One of my favorite units to teach in Consumer Math is the one on unit pricing. It you teach financial literacy to kids, this is a great video from Brain Pop that introduces unit pricing in a simple way and in the context of cell phone plans. I get really fired up about unit pricing because I have seen so many price tricks at stores. All I imagine is people (my students) losing out (getting ripped off) because they trusted the pricing.
