Shutter Speed: A Beginner's Guide... I've always believed that in photography, you should avoid getting bogged down in the technical side of your hobby, and focus on developing your creative talent. In this video I’m going to show you how to create a blurry background in Photoshop (the shallow depth of field focus). We’re going to apply the blur by using the Lens Blur Filter which allows you to apply the narrow depth of field so that some objects in the image are in focus while others are blurred.
I like how the photo is drawn in through the tram lines. I also like that the background is quite busy yet it is blurred, this shows that the place is obviously popular, I could be inspired by this as it would show that because it's popular it is obviously a place where people will want to visit.
