Ghost Ship? Entire crew found dead on board with open eyes - outstretched arms and look of horror on their faces. Even the ship's dog found dead - a snarl still on its lips.

I won't bother with looking at them all but I can say there are no records of the SS Ourang Medan ever existing and that I've also seen that picture in colour as evidence for the Ice Woman

A strange incident occurred in June 1947. SS Ourang Medan sent a chilling message that all the workers are lying dead in chartroom and bridge. The Silver Star was the nearest ship. The staff who went inside the ship found everybody dead with open eyes and expressions of horror. There were no wounds or any other sign. At that time smoke started arising from the downside of the ship. The staff returned immediately to their own ship as the Ourang Medan caught fire. This case remains unsolved.

Death Ship: The Ourang Medan February of 1948 — multiple ships traversing the trade routes of the straits of Malacca, which is located between the sun drenched shores of Sumatra and Malaysia, claimed to have picked up a series of SOS distress signals. The unknown ship’s message was as simple as it was disturbing: “All officers including captain are dead, lying in chartroom and bridge. Possibly whole crew dead.”  This communication was followed by a burst of indecipherable Morse code, then a…

What happened to SS Ourang Medan or “Man from Medan” in Malaysia is perhaps one of the most fascinating and mind-boggling mysteries that ever existed in seafaring history. Everything began in 1947 with an SOS message in that mentioned the crew and captain were dead. Even the telegrapher died during the transmission of the message. When inspection of the ship was made it confirmed the deaths of all aboard but, there is still no conclusion as to what actually happened.

Was the S.S. Ourang Medan a genuine ill-fated ship or just a mariner's seafaring tale designed to scare, frighten or dissuade?
