Obelisk of Theodosius in Istanbul - Theodosius (346-395) was the last emperor of united Roman Empire, who brougt the ancient Egyptian Obelisk by the sea transport from Egypt and placed it at the hippodrome in Constantinople (now Istanbul), while Egypt was a part of Roman Empire. He took the control of the eastern empire and ended the war with the Visigoths, became a Christian and in 391 banned all forms of pagan worship.
