Need subway tile to ceiling and upper cabinets to ceiling. SS vent hood. Acid washed seagrass limestone backsplash. Grey paint for butler's pantry and maybe island. Farrow & Ball's Down Pipe (warm gray) on back cabinets, Benjamin Moore Chelsea Gray (warm gray) on island.
Many of the houses we have looked at have kitchens that were remodeled in the 70s. Meaning that the classic design elements of the craftsman home were replaced with dated 70s orange linoleum and cheap plywood cabinets. I've become obsessed with the idea of restoring salvaged antique cabinets from Craigslist as a thrifty way to remodel the kitchen. Classics never look dated.
