Chronic pain - hubby defended me recently. My mom still doesn't really "get" that my illnesses aren't ever going away, and she's constantly saying things like "are you better? You look better" which I've asked her not to bc it's demoralizing to hear all the time. She said it today, saying how I look better and don't look sick and hubby was like, "did she ever look sick?!" He's my rock and my hero.
