Elana Herzog. NY based installation artist and sculptor. She staples found textiles to the walls - parts of fabric and staples then removed and sometime reapplied, leaving a residue of shredded fabric and perforated wall surface. Piece shown as part of Dewarped and Unweft - a survey of Elana's work from 1993 to 2009 - at Daum Museum of Contemporary Art Sedalia, Missouri. These are beautiful but not sure how I feel about the destruction of someone else's work that this involves.
Jenny Holzer, "For SAAM," 2007, a time-based media sculpture comprised of vertical strands of white LEDs that reveal different text and patterns over a 24 hour cycle, located at the Smithsonian Museum of American Art.
