Designed by Murray Arbeid, this black velvet bodice and bolero jacket with white taffeta skirt was worn by Diana, Princess of Wales to a fund raising event to save Britain's Wheelchair Olympics. The dress raised $ 24,150 for Diana's charities at the Christie's auction.
Princess Diana attended a state banquet at the British Embassy in Washington in November 1985 where she wore a daintily scalloped lace evening gown by Murray Arbeid with a drop-waisted taffeta skirt and see-through lace sleeves.
