Mount Kilimanjaro, the iconic volcanic mountain is the highest point in Africa at 5,895 m. Its snowy peak stands on its own, looking over the protected savannah below which is home to many endangered species.
Mount Kilimanjaro Part of what's luring me to hike Mount Kilimanjaro is its location; I have always wanted to go to Africa. While I'm there I'll go on a safari and see as much African wildlife as I can.
Mount Snowdon, Wales, UK. Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. It is located in Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd, and has been described as "probably the busiest mountain in Britain".
