Detail of "David" is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture created between 1501 and 1504, by the Italian artist Michelangelo. It is a 5.17-metre (17.0 ft) marble statue of a standing male nude. The statue represents the Biblical hero David. The warning glare no doubt was for the giant Goliath slew by David. The statue of David is the best known and the most reproduced work in the history of art.

San Pietro in Vincoli: Moses by Michelangelo (1989, 1995) My head goes to about his chest. He has horns because in those day the Bible was misinterrepted. They read Moses had 'horns' of light but it really says 'rays' of light. ANd this church also has a set of chains that supposedly were worn by St. Peter. Hence, the name of the church is really "St. Peter in chains."
