When the Voyager 1 and 2 spacecraft flew by Saturn in 1980 and 1981, they were able to pay only fleeting attention to Titan, the second largest moon in the solar system (larger even than the planet Mercury) and the only solar system moon with an appreciable atmosphere. These images are from subsequent Titan flybys in 2005 and 2006. - Image credit: NASA / JPL / University of Arizona

This view is one of the first from the MESSENGER probe's Oct. 6, 2008 flyby of Mercury. The bright crater south of the center of the image is Kuiper, identified on images from the Mariner 10 mission in the 1970s. For most of the terrain east of Kuiper, toward the limb (edge) of the planet, the views are the first ever of that portion of Mercury.

Famous Pagan: Freddie Mercury. Okay, so he was a Zoroastrian, which is a monotheistic religion and not officially Pagan... but a heathen nonetheless :)
