Everyone knows about the benefits of having a good physique. Going to the gym is considered to be one of the best options to remain fit and get an extremely good build. But perceiving the body to be in a certain way and obsessing over it can be detrimental to one’s mental health, leading to various psychological disorders, such as depression, eating disorders and body dysmorphia, according to a study done by the Macquarie University in Australia.

I found an interesting article I thought might interest PTSDers - there are correlations with neoliberalism and poor mental health provision as well - anyway enjoy. It is food for thought. https://www.theguardian.com/books/2016/apr/15/neoliberalismideologyproblemgeorgemonbiot

Positive thinking is a great tool to learn. But there are times where realistic thinking has to come first. I like to see and feel things as they are, the unsterilised version. Then work to fit it into a positive mindframe. For me It works better than blind optimism and produces less fallout if it fails. But that's just me. I'm weird and complex.
