Master Sergeant William Trampass Bishop Florida Highway Patrol End of Watch: June 17, 2017 Master Sergeant William Trampass Bishop was struck and killed by a vehicle while investigating a traffic accident as he was standing outside of his patrol car. Master Sergeant Bishop was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Master Sergeant Bishop is the 3rd law enforcement officer to be struck and killed in 2017 and the fourth officer fatality from the state of Florida.

The Delta Force sniper teammates became the first Medal of Honor recipient since the Vietnam War.
