Portrait of a young Maria Theresa of Austria Queen of Saxony. She was named after her grandmother, the Habsburg ruler Maria Theresa of Austria She was the first daughter and oldest child of the future Leopold II and Maria Luisa of Spain.
Archduchess Maria Amalia of Austria February 1746 – 18 June was the Duchess of Parma, Piacenza and Guastalla by marriage. Maria Amalia was a daughter of Empress Maria Theresa and Emperor Francis I. She was thus younger sister to Joseph II.
