The Isle of Mull on the west coast of Scotland is my Scottish-American family's ancestral home. We are Scottish on Dad's side. The original spelling of our name is Maclean. My ancestors left their homeland during the Highland Clearances and before the American Revolution, coming to Savannah, GA. I was the first modern McLane/Maclean of my lineage to go back to Mull, though several of my uncles and cousins have now been there, too.
Without a doubt the most beautiful map you can use to tour Savannah with the girls, The Savannah Historic District Map. Be sure to pick one up at the Visitor's Center on MLK. It makes a fantastic souvenir too! We have one framed in our living room to remind us of our beloved city of Savannah! #Savannah #NoBoysAllowed
