advertising stradegy - this advertising campaign comes across as a poster for madam butterfly, although it could be used for a flyer & book cover , visual communication - inspirational, as the giesha back is turned to us it makes us think that she is depressed, hurt and scared, And Motivational as this makes us want to watch the opera to find out exactly what emotion she is displaying. Typography as the type uses serifs it has an older affect and relates to when Madame Butterfly was created
This type of typography works well for the year the opera is based in which is 1904, its a more classy style of writing but it would not appeal to the target audience i am trying to get to attend the opera.
This style of writing is hard to read, at first glance i didn't even notice the writing because it was so small. it isn't positioned well on the page, the image runs down the page and the writing is running down with it which makes it hard to read
