A Luftwaffe dorsal gunner on a Heinkel He-111 bomber manning an .Mg15 and he is equipped with an RZ20 parachute and an M42 Luftwaffe Stahlhelm. In many German bombers of the war, just one man was tasked with operating three or more defensive positions, making it impossible to effectively protect the whole aircraft in case of an attack from multiple sides. Note his P.08 Luger holster, possibly issued by Krieghoff, the manufacturer-supplier to the Luftwaffe.16
