Barbican Estate - Shakespeare Tower. A lot of photography of brutalist architecture comments on ideas that are explored in my work; notions of control and order, not only in regards to their repetitive linear aesthetic but also in relation to their association with totalitarianism.
You name it, this house has it: an air-source heat pump, a rainwater harvester, central-vacuuming system, triple-glazing and motion-sensitive lighting system. It also features underfloor heating and self-closing loos. The five bedrooms are arranged over three storeys.
