Leeds Dogs Trust

Poor Wonky the dog has not had a great start in life. She was brought to the Leeds Dogs Trust two weeks ago after being dumped on the street. Staff at the centre immediately noticed Wonky was unable to stand properly. She could only walk on the elbow joints of her front paws. (video)

Cloudy at Dogs Trust Leeds is an adorable young staffie with an abundance of energy. She can be a little shy to start with but soon comes round. Once she knows you, Cloudy is an affectionate and fun loving girl. She is great with dogs when off her lead and may live happily with another playful dog.

Twinkle is a lovely girl at Dogs Trust Leeds who is always pleased to see you. She is good with everyone and should be ok homed with older children. Twinkle is house trained and will need owners around all the time to help her settle into a new home.

Desmond at Dogs Trust Leeds was found as a stray so we have little information on his background. He likes to be with people and will need owners around all day initially until he settles in. Desmond is good with dogs although he can be very OTT. He may live with another dog to act as a good role model for him.

Penelope at Dogs Trust Leeds is just the sweetest little dog who lacks in confidence. She can be clingy with people she knows and will need owners around most of the time initially. Penelope has a skin condition which is being treated by our vet so we have been unable to mix her with other dogs. For now, she may be better as the only dog in the home.

Jingles at Dogs Trust Leeds is a handsome and lively boy who arrived with us as a stray with a nasty injury to one of his front legs. Unfortunately his leg could not be saved and had to be amputated by our vet. Jingles is recuperating in a foster home and despite having just 3 legs, he will be an energetic and bouncy boy who would benefit from some basic training.

Lucy is a very sweet girl at Dogs Trust Leeds who has not had the best life so far and will need a patient owner to help her rebuild her confidence. Lucy loves human company once she gets to know you. She is an active girl and loves her walks, however she would be more comfortable homed or walked in a quieter rural area as she can be quite vocal on her lead towards other dogs.
